By completing the below request, VMIA will provide information about domestic building insurance which has been issued for a particular property since 1 July 2015. To obtain details of domestic building insurance which may have been issued prior to 1 July 2015, we recommend you contact the builder who undertook the works, the previous owner of the property if the works were done before you purchased the property, the local council or the building surveyor who issued the permit for the work.

Please use this form to apply for details of any domestic building insurance issued for the nominated property.

IMPORTANT:

1. VMIA will only provide information pursuant to this request about certificates of insurance which have been issued for domestic building works undertaken at the property in the search criteria you submitted. 
2. There may be other certificates of insurance issued by another insurer for domestic building works undertaken at the property.
3. The information provided by VMIA as a result of this request is intended for informational purposes only.  VMIA shall in no event accept any liability for loss or damage suffered by any person or body due to information provided in response to this search request.  The information will be provided on the basis that persons to whom the information is provided undertake responsibility for assessing the relevance and accuracy of its content.  The accuracy of the information to be provided as a result of the search request is dependent upon information which has been provided to VMIA.  If you believe that any information provided as a result of a search request is not accurate please contact us
